On April, 29 FOC company took part in the session of “Business Club of the South of Russia” where the Rostov-on-Don authorities as well as other representatives of business and scientific circles of the city were presented the concept of Rostov-on-Don development strategy for the period till 2025.
Business magazine "Expert", the City administration of Rostov-on-Don and the Southern Regional Committee of Association of the European Business in the Russian Federation acted as organizers of the action.
According to the concept, Rostov-on-Don is a capital of the South of Russia with development priorities in the spheres of transport, innovations and education, providing high quality of life of the population.
Achievement of these purposes assumes active work in the following directions: increase of competitiveness of the city economy, spatial development of the city, development of the city infrastructure, improvement of quality of life and the human capital. The special attention is paid to the social sphere which will be focused on development of innovative scientific-educational system, perfection of system of medical institutions and services, preventive maintenance of diseases, propagation of a healthy way of life, preservation of uniform cultural space and cultural-historical heritage, maintenance of cultural services availability and variety.
Developers of the strategy also focused the attention of the city community on the fact that Rostov-on-Don should develop as an agglomeration. According to Moisej Furschik, the Operating partner of FOC company, consecutive development of the Rostov agglomeration will enable to optimize allocation of the economic complex of the city, to involve the qualified manpower, and to strengthen influence of the Big Rostov on social and economic development of the South of Russia in future.
Representatives of business and scientific communities of Rostov-on-Don supported the concept of the city development strategy and also expressed their wishes and offers, which the strategy developers will definitely consider at the further stages of work. The session became the first in a series of the public hearings devoted to discussion of Rostov-on-Don development strategy till 2025.
Let's remind that in February, 2009 the Administration of Rostov-on-Don signed the contract with FOC company on the feasibility study formulation on Rostov-on-Don development strategy for the period till 2025. An overall objective of the developed Strategy – preparation and realization of the complex of actions creating favorable conditions for the city development that will raise quality of life of present and future generations of the city residents, improving image of Rostov-on-Don.
